We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the villa suited our needs perfectly. In particular the owners made us feel at home and the home cooking and hospitality in their restaurant was so good we ate there half the time! The only downside to our stay was some guests were bitten by mosquitoes.
We had a great week, the property is clean and offers a lot of privacy. Friendly and competent reception and staff. Nice pool area (more umbrellas however would be great), Rooms are traditional italian style with moskito net at window, each has a small cooler and safe. Kitchen is large, appliances are aging a bit (coffee machine, toaster). Very good it has 3 refrigerators for cooling all food and drinks. We would surely come back again.
Have been to Pognana Lario / La Cava three times; we love the area and the facilities and especially the view from the terrace: You can argue that the apartments are a bit old fashioned, but we don't mind that the kitchen is small; it gives a bit of a "camping feeling". Still think the look of the apartment "holds", since it is light and simple. This time around it was very hot, and a couple of more fans would be great, since air condition is not installed. Be aware as well, that you get to train staps when at La Cava, so not for poeple with a walking disability.
Heerlijke plek, prachtige tuin/zwembad.
