Sehr nette, hilfsbereite und zuvorkommende Gastgeber. Die Apartments sind sehr gut ausgestattet und sauber. Für Hunde, je nach Belegungssituation der anderen Apartments, ist es ein Paradies. Das gesamte riesengroße Grundstück ist umzäunt. Wenn alle Hunde gut sozialisiert und abrufbar sind, können sie frei laufen und rumtollen. Es ist alles sehr gut gepflegt und durchdacht. Der Comersee ist in 3 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar, den Ort kann man mit einem schönen Spaziergang auch recht gut erreichen. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Restaurants und Bars sind direkt neben der Anlage auch zu Fuß in wenigen Minuten erreichbar. Das Bergpanorama mit dem herrlichen See spricht seine eigene beeindruckende Sprache.
[English translation courtesy of Easy Reserve] Very nice, helpful and obliging hosts. The flats are very well equipped and clean. For dogs, depending on the occupancy situation of the other flats, it is a paradise. The entire huge property is fenced. If all the dogs are well socialised and can be called off, they can run and romp around freely. Everything is very well maintained and well thought out. Lake Como can be reached on foot in 3 minutes, and the town can also be easily reached on a pleasant walk. Shopping facilities, restaurants and bars are right next to the complex and can also be reached on foot in a few minutes. The mountain panorama with the marvellous lake speaks its own impressive language.
We were there for a week now in Oct 2024 and the BEST time! Thank you so much to Daniela who hosted the property. She helped with so much and the house itself is fantastic and so well equipped with everything and more! We will most definitely be back! 10 out of 10
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful Villa! It’s located in a perfect location, gorgeous views, luxury accommodations, and met all of our needs. We hope to return, as one week was not long enough! Highly recommend!!!
We had a very lovely relaxing time at Ovile, the place was clean and comfortable with easy access to the town of San Gimignano. Perfect location to explore Tuscany. We stayed for 11 nights and it was great to just stay in one place. The owners were there if needed but we had the privacy and peace we were looking for.
Das Personal war freundlich und hat sich sehr bemüht uns eine neue Unterkunft zur Verfügung zu stellen. In der neuen Unterkunft mussten wir allerdings Abstriche machen, so hatten wir nur ein Schlafzimmer anstatt der gebuchten 2 Schlafzimmer. Da die Bilder im Internet stark von der Realität abgewichen sind, würde ich diese Unterkunft nicht weiterempfehlen.
We had a lovely 2 weeks at La Culla - La Gora is the name of the property’s road. We very much enjoyed our stay with family joining us in the first week and friends the second week. The Villa has a very traditional feel. All the bedrooms have ensuites which was so handy for our guests. The Villa host, Giancarlo was very welcoming and it was no trouble for him to book a restaurant for us and make other recommendations. We asked about wine tours and Giancarlo organised a fabulous tour for us of a local winery and farm, which also produced honey and truffle oil. This winery also had a beautifully restored Villa and historical grounds.
La Culla is a little bit off the main road but once you know the way you are all set. The local train station San Romano is about a 10 minute drive with free parking available. The supermarket is not far from the train station. There is a great Pasticceria near the train station - Dolce Vita. Giancarlo will be able to direct you. Warning - you will most likely go there every day! We used the train several times for day trips to Florence and many of our guests arrived at San Romano train station for us to collect them from. The Villa location is central for many towns in Tuscany. Pisa and Florence about 30 to 40 minute drive. San Giminagno and Lucca about an hour and Siena about an hour and 30 minutes.
La Culla also has a large enclosed area known as the winter garden. As we were there in October this was a great space for afternoon aperitivo or coffee. We did use the outdoor settings a few times when the weather suited. The kitchen has a commercial grade gas stove to cook, perfect for making pasta. The plates, utensils etc were a little dated but provided all that we needed. The grounds are pleasant with a beautiful pool. It was too cold for us to swim but I would imagine it would be lovely in summer. The villa was very clean.
Note: The washing machine is located in a bottom room of the main house, opposite the villa, which is open during the day. We would have liked a clothes dryer as due to the weather clothes did not dry quickly.
Now when we think back of our time at La Culla our memories are full of much fun, joy and laughter. Thanks to Giancarlo and his family for their welcoming hospitality. A truely wonderful holiday!
