L'area è ricca di storia, con numerose rovine del periodo etrusco che conferiscono un carattere senza tempo al paesaggio. Ideale per una vacanza in famiglia, la proprietà offre un'atmosfera accogliente e semplice, perfetta per chi cerca tranquillità e un autentico contatto con la campagna toscana. Il terreno è completamente privato e recintato, offrendo uno spazio esterno generoso con una bellissima piscina di 6 x 12 m. Gli ospiti beneficiano della connettività WiFi in tutta la proprietà, mentre il comodo parcheggio in loco assicura un arrivo confortevole e senza stress. Il giardino circostante è ampio e ben organizzato, offrendo ampio spazio per il relax e il divertimento all'aperto in un'atmosfera tranquilla e soleggiata.

Gli ospiti possono anche divertirsi a ping pong in loco, mentre un barbecue e una terrazza e patio ben attrezzati arricchiscono ulteriormente l'esperienza di vita all'aperto. Questa casa vacanze si estende su 110 m2 distribuiti su 2 livelli e può ospitare un massimo di 6 ospiti, offrendo 3 camere da letto e 2 bagni sapientemente suddivisi tra il piano terra e il piano superiore. Al piano terra, un accogliente soggiorno presenta un comodo divano letto adatto a bambini sotto i 10 anni, con accesso diretto al giardino. Una cucina completamente attrezzata si trova anch'essa su questo livello, dotata di 4 fuochi, forno, lavastoviglie, congelatore e macchina per il caffè elettrica. Una doccia, bidet e WC completano i servizi del piano terra.
Il piano superiore ospita tutte e 3 le camere da letto e il secondo bagno. La prima è una piccola camera aperta con 2 letti singoli, ideale come spazio aggiuntivo per i giovani ospiti. La seconda è una camera matrimoniale con finestra panoramica che incornicia una vista mozzafiato sulla valle. La terza è un'ulteriore camera matrimoniale, anch'essa situata su questo piano. The pictures show exactly what Le Pergole is. Andrea, the owner, couldn't help enough!. Set off the main road on a unmade track in a residential area of minimal properties. Views & Pool amazing and not overlooked! Loads of room for a family of four/five. Villa was very clean and tidy with mosquito screens on nearly every window. Our opinion, both bathrooms were great and the outside space is perfectly situated with all day sun. Owner also has a small day gated building the other side of the pool from villa, so doesn't need to enter Le Pergole so you are completely private. Villa is wonderful and if you need to, you can walk into town (uphill) 980km away on a county route! Only downside for us due to weather. Felt the kitchen is a slight letdown against the rest of the property, size & kitchen supplies (Glasses, utensils, empty cupboard space). And, as this is in a residential area, you do get everyday noises (stimming, mowing, farm ploughing, etc). We had a lot of wet weather previous to our stay so this may not be the normal and was just a timing thing. Saying this, we will return to Le Pargole without hesitation and would completely recommend .

Una location meravigliosa. La casa era fornita di tutto il necessario ed anche di più. Un cascinale tipico toscano ristrutturato alla perfezione con il proprietario Andrea gentilissimo e pronto ad aiutare per qualsiasi cosa. Vicinissimo a Volterra e ad altri luoghi di interesse. Excellent outside space with wonderful terrace overlooking the pool and beautiful surrounding countryside. Good quality games area. Kitchen is small but well equipped - we ate every meal on the terrace admiring the view. There were only two of us but the property could easily accommodate 4 - 6 people. We loved our holiday at Le Pergole and would definitely like to return. Volterra is a lovely small town with some great places to eat and only five minutes away.

Le Pergole was everything it was advertised to be. It worked perfectly for four travelers from Massachusetts on a Tuscan holiday. The grounds are lovely, and the pool was pristine. The host could not have been more welcoming and gracious. In fact, he and his brother helped us with car rental trouble our first night there. The kitchen is well stocked with dinnerware, glasses and utensils, so we were able to eat most of our meals at Le Pergole. The host's brother lives next door and has a vineyard, too. I would definitely return to Le Pergole should I visit Tuscany again.

We were very pleased to stay in Le Pergole this summer.Beautiful house, rooms, garden, BBQ area and a beautiful panorama. We stayed with family of 10, the service was great. We used the pizza oven with the help of the owner and had every evening al fresco dining in the garden. Sure we will try to visit Le Pergole again!

Le Pergole is a beautifully situated Villa just north of the ancient city of Volterra.
It is nicely furnished, well equipped and, of course has an amazing private pool.
It is an ideal villa for ageing couples (like us!) but also, with bbq, table tennis and the pool, great for families with children.
Volterra is a truly beautiful city where the last new build seems to have been in the C17th. Pisa, Florence, Lucca and Siena are all an hour or so away by car; Rome is 90 minutes train journey from Florence.
Andrea is a wonderful owner, friendly and discreet - his brother, Francesco, makes very good wine from the next property down the lane and sells it for a very small price!
If you eat in Volterra, be sure to go to Dom Beta.

3 minutes drive from town. Beautiful and very private setting. Good sized pool. Helpful owner. Would definitely go back. The 3 bedrooms are a good size and would comfortably sleep 6.

I agree with other reviewers that the photos on the website don't do Le Pergole justice. I've posted additional photos to give a better sense of the beautiful grounds and the amazing views. The location is private and serene, with its own olive grove, cherry trees and two small fish ponds. The view of the Chiesa in Volterra at sunset is spectacular, and goes well with a nice bottle of wine. The spacious, beautiful pool area is set below the level of the house and surrounded on 3 sides by walls, stones and tall trees, combining a real sense of seclusion with a spectacular view of the valley below.
The house is simple, spacious and comfortable inside. It could sleep 6 easily, 8 reasonably well, and 9 at a pinch. That said, we found it the perfect size for just 2.
The kitchen is small but well appointed, and combined with the grill outside, is more than sufficient to cook a beautiful meal for two. Storage space is limited so, for a larger group, you might need an additional trip or two to the market. There's a brick oven in the grill area, though we didn't use it.
There is a small TV with HDMI in the sitting room, if you decide to spend an evening in or need to keep tired kids occupied.
Le Pergole, like the houses in the surrounding valley, is a working farm, so there was a bit of farm noise throughout the day, but never enough to disturb the serenity. If anything, it added to the sense that Le Pergole is a real and special place.
The owner was gracious, friendly and extremely responsive, and welcomed us to La Pergole with a nice bottle of wine from the family's vineyard. The family maintains a small apartment above the wine fermentation shed adjacent to the property. During our visit, it was only occupied in the late evening. It is screened off by a fence, accessed by a separate gate, and during our visit did not interfere with the sense of privacy.

The villa was much better than expected - i can only say that the photos don't do it justice. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The location is nice and pivate with fantastic views. To the right is the valley and to the left you look up the hill to Volterra. We stayed there in September the sun set behind the church - stunning!
The 1500m to Volterra was up a very steep hill! Unlit most of the way so take a good torch. Better instructions on how to find the villa needed.

We had a memorable holiday here - watching the fireflies in the olive groves was fantastic, and it was just a lovely peaceful place to be. Volterra is easy to get to and great to wander around.

Fantastisch mooi gelegen huis : een oase van rust, stilte en de meest prachtige uitzichten. We waren sprakeloos. Prima gelegen voor uitstappen naar de kust (Rosignano Solvay - Spiagge Bianche!), naar Firenze of naar Siena. Tip : breng matjes voor de ligstoelen mee.

Le Pergole is simply idyllic. Just outside the ancient city of Volterra with stunning views, a peaceful setting and a 12m private pool (steady 82F during the day).
The owner, Andrea, is the nicest person you could wish to meet.

This is a well kept villa, in a stunningly beautiful area with an excellent private swimming pool. The owners are friendly and unobtrusive, the local town/city of Volterra is as good as it gets and the property is within an hour of Pisa, Florence and Siena - if you can drag yourself away from the pool!

We had a lovely stay and Le Pergole. Views were breathtaking and the pool was beautiful although quite cold. Andrea was very accommodating and very helpful. If I could make a few suggestions the addition of a kettle and generally more kitchen utensils would be helpful. Other than that we enjoyed our stay.
