Poggio Nardini offered the perfect setting for our large, extended family. An easy half hour train ride from Florence, the farmhouse is set in a idyllic, rural setting with lovely views of the countryside. (Be armed with protection from the mosquitoes however!) The farmhouse and other units are filled with simple but comfortable country style funiture and earthy antiques. Our entire stay was made memorable by the kindness and graciousness of our hosts. We had a great time in Il Poggio. Large rustic house is very comfortable for up to 7 people and the terrace offers beautiful view at vineyards. Unfortunately, in the late September the pool was quite refreshing and that is why swimming was just for hardy ones. On the other hand, we could use fireplace every evening. The landlords are so nice and welcoming. They offer their own good home wine and oil.
