Bel fienile recentemente ristrutturato situato in posizione tranquilla e panoramica sulle colline intorno alla bellissima cittadina medievale di San Gimignano. La casa è indipendente ed ha un bellissimo spazio esterno attrezzato con vista panoramica sulla campagna circostante. Il fienile è stato ristrutturato con cura mantenendo inalterato l’aspetto originario ed è arredato in modo molto confortevole. Gli ospiti di Casa Simona oltre a rilassarsi in uno dei luoghi più suggestivi della Toscana potranno comodamente visitare i vicini e famosi centri d’interesse come San Gimignano, Certaldo, Volterra, Siena, Firenze e i caratteristici borghi del Chianti.
L’accesso alla proprietà è tramite una strada non asfaltata ma in buone condizioni.
Distanze: la bella cittadina medievale di San Gimignano con negozi di ogni genere a 3 km, Poggibonsi e Certaldo (stazione ferroviaria) a 10 km, Siena a 40 km, Firenze (aeroporto) a 50 km.
A disposizione degli ospiti: giardino attrezzato con bella vista panoramica, barbecue, bella piscina privata parzialmente coperta di forma irregolare (aperta dal 1/5 al 30/9 - massima profondità 1,6 m). Alles perfekt von der Begrüßung bis zum Abschied! Einzig und alleine Sonnenschirme beim Pool wären im Hochsommer noch toll. Ich komme bestimmt wieder!

Very nice house with a perfect view.
But there are a few details to be fixed to make it perfect :
2 of the gas burners didn't work
There wasn't enough plates, decent cookware (we like to cook ourselves)
A tray would be nice when you eat outside
More and better pillows in the livingroom (others have written that earlier - you really should fix that)
There was no manual to the washing machine (and it wasn't logic til figure out!) Had to spend quite a while looking it up on the internet.
The keyholder spoke VERY little English. We called an hour in advance and still we had to call again when we arrived and wait 30 minutes.

It's always best to inform us about things that need reparation or missing items during your stay because we can supply immediately. I highly recommend this place for a relaxed vacation next to a small and nice tuscany city. The view is really great and everything was like it should be.

Lovely location and views with ideal pool for a baby as it has shade. Only thing is it's lacking is a comfortable place to sit so we ended up sitting on the downstairs bed. Another reviewer mentioned this in the guest book 3 years ago! The sofa really isn't great and should be replaced straight away.
Also an information sheet would be useful telling you were local shops are etc although with wifi there is a work around.

When you imagine a Tuscan villa this is the villa that you will be thinking of. It is quiet with a stunning view of rolling hills populated by vineyards and towering cedars lining sleepy country roads. At a leisurely pace you are able to walk to San Gimignano in about 40 to 45 minutes which is perhaps one of the easiest ways to avoid parking issues that are ultimately linked with all Italian tourist locations. This is perhaps the most romantic place I have ever taken my wife. Simona and her husband went above and beyond to insure that our stay was as pleasant and relaxing as possible.

We were very happy with the villa. It was lovely and suited our needs.

Thank you Simona and Enriko for your hospitality. A gorgeous home in a gorgeous location! Casa Simona provided a restful respite from our (my family of 5) busy travel itinerary and the kids loved the pool, despite the cooler weather. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend and hope to have the opportunity to return in the future.

A little bit of private Tuscan heaven tucked into a hillside minutes from the centre of San Gimignano, with fab scenery. The perfect little getaway!

Positive:
Excellent house, great views, beds are comfertable, good garden furniture, bathroom is perfect.
Suggestions for improvement:
- access road needs some maintenance;
- couch in the living room is not very comfertable, could be simply solved with some large extra pillows for support of your back + one extra comfertable chair as 5 people do not fit on the couch.Raccomanderesti la Proprietà ad un amico? Si
This villa was a dream come true. We rented this villa on Nov 6 thru Nov 13. We were met promptly by the owner, given a step by step guide to the villa as far as how to operate everything. The pricing was as listed. The cost of heat and cleaning was reasonable based upon our usage. The villa was spotless clean, the patio view was beyond breath taking. The beds were comfortable, the shower was spacious and clean. The kitchen was useful and suitable for everyday life and cooking. The remoteness of the location was very romantic. The only drawback I found was the lack of english on the tele as after dark much of the San Gimignano town shut down and we were left with little options to do. Internet would be a wonderful upgrade if possible so tele can be watched via ipad.

Staying at Casa Simona was the perfect place for us to have the Tuscan experience we have waited quite some years for.We liked the location of villa to the village of San Gimignano - 4km drive or 40 min stroll.The villa was comfortable, casual but extremely clean and functional. It was the perfect location to enjoy peace and tranquility at the end of a touristy day out and about.The owners were most helpful and prompt with any request that we had and were kind enough to leave a few surprises in the villa for us ie:wine, fresh fruit, biscotti. This was very kind and thoughtful we believe. We hope that future guests enjoy staying in this area as much as we did and if dreams do come true, we will return to experience it all again.Truly beautiful.

Absolutely spectacular ! 3 kms out into the Tuscan hills, away from everything but yet a very manageable walk into San Gimignano ( uphill on the way but downhill with shopping on way back! )The villa is lovely, clean, modern, warm, roomy and very well equipped ( except for a kettle to make a cup of tea !) S.G. has great market each Thurs. Loved our stay here. Very helpful owners also

We had a great time at Casa Simona. The villa is beautiful and well kept, the scenery is wonderful. We are a family of 5 and it was spacious and comfortable for us. The owners were very helpful to us and freindly. The kitchen is well equiped for cooking meals

Casa Simona is a beautiful peacful and well equipped villa. The owners can't do enough for you and upon request of extra fans, they arrived on the same day with two new ones for us. The only problem was that it isnt toddler friendly so if you have a small child be aware its all stone steps and the high drops from surrounding (unfilled fences) Siobhan UK

Fabulous villa. Very clean, comfy beds, good bathroom and facilities. The most wonderful views from every room and the Terrace.We would highly recommend this villa.

We are a family of 5 that stayed at Casa Simona during December and it was wonderful. The owners were extremely welcoming and charming and the villa itself is wonderful - very clean and well maintained. We highly recommend it. The only thing I found missing was internet access.

We loved Casa Simona - very pretty house with fab views. Extremely well presented and clean on arrival and welcome pack of wine, milk and breakfast goods was a nice touch. Great location - easy driving distances from lots of interesting places such as Siena, Volterra and Florence. Susan, Ipswich

What a beautiful villa and very friendly owners. There is everything you might need upon arrival to from a bottle of water to breakfast croissants! Shower room spacious and even a hair dryer provided ladies! House is in splendid order and the views breathtaking. The private pool is wonderful along with outside shower and BBQ. I would thoroughly recommend Casa Simona for a little private getaway. Close to San Gimignano and easy drive to Pisa/Siena/Volterra/Monteriggiano/Lucca. We would like to return in the summer.

A wonderfully comfortable home with all that we needed for a perfect holiday. Pool was fantastic, especially the under cover bit for cooling down in the hot summer. Fabulous views and perfect peace and quiet.

Casa Simona was a delight. Although the road to the property is more of a rough track at the end of it sits Casa Simona with the most glorious views over the Tuscan countryside. The villa itself is lovely, very clean and with modern fittings. It would possibly not be suitable for very small children as the stairs to the first floor are stone tiled. Simona and her husband are lovely and were very concerned that we enjoyed out stay. All the essentials were there for us, coffee, tea, milk, water, bread and even some chocolates, biscuits and beer. Very thoughtful and very welcoming especially as we didn't arrive until about 5.30pm. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it at all. The only downside we felt was that another bathroom would be useful if there were 2 couples and as the temperature was 30C we would have loved a fan in the bedroom. If we were in the area again we would go back to Casa Simona.
