We went to Villa Il Nido in October 2010 looking for a family holiday with 3 children (ages 7, 6 and almost 2). We has a fantastic relaxing time here, didn't want to do any of the big city tours as the kids are too young for it so instead with spend our time in th ehouse and doing small explorations around the area. We were given lots of information about restaurants and things to do by our hosts and we followed their directions, which tooks us to some really nice places to eat. In comparison with our time in venice and Rome, this was very relaxing, food nice and cheap and you get to learn more about the real Italy, which is what we wanted.
The house is big, warm and comfortable, all you need to do is go to the supermarket, everything else is in the house. The view from the house is amazing.
Great chill out time. Totally recommend it.Raccomanderesti la Proprietà ad un amico? Si

Nice location and setting. Bad news is no water pressure and tough to get six showers in a day.

The view was breathtaking and the owners are wonderful and very friendly. We travelled with our 2 year old son and were made to feel very welcome and at home. It is a convenient, lovely location and we hope to come and stay again one day.

The property is a very nice separate house with one big living room + kitchen on the ground floor, and two spacious bedrooms + bathroom at the first floor. Equipped with TV, hair dryer, heating, ..., so basically a fully equipped accomodation.
The owner is a very kind person, has a lot of information about Tuscany.
The location is also very good - halfway between Florence and Pisa, close to the highway.Raccomanderesti la Proprietà ad un amico? Si

This property was an excellent base for us to do all of our day trips in the Tuscany region. The view and serenity was also a welcome after a long day of sight-seeing and visiting busy areas

Il Mulinaccio was a little hard to find, but worth the effort.
The gated property is stunningly beautiful and the apartments elegantly furnished with antique furniture and amentities. The beds were comfortable enough, and with the sound of the adjacent waterfall just out side we had no trouble drifing off into a deep sleep. There was also a very nice heated pool on the lower level.
We shared the larger apartment with our friends and each room had a nice washroom en suite which made it seem like a hotel except there is of course no maid service.
Vana, the lovely lady who met us at the property didn't speak a word of English but with patience and a lot of hand gesturing we were to able to communicate very well.
There was only one mishap when there was no hot water one morning but with a call to Vana it was fixed pronto.
Overall it was a very nice experience.
It helps to have a cell phone, because there is no pnone service at the property and it's about a mile down twisting roads to get to the town of Loro Ciuffenna.
The website said there was a short path to a nearby town but we couldn't find one so make sure you ask Vana to show you were it is.
The site is heavily forested.

l'endroit est très bien, par contre les frais de 60 euros pour le nettoyage sont exagérés car la propreté laissait à désirer. Les ustensiles étaient pour la plupart sales, et les draps étaient humides car la maison n'avait pas été aéré.

[English translation courtesy of Easy Reserve] the place is very well, on the contrary the costs of 60 euros for cleaning are exaggerated because the cleanness was poor. The kitchen pots were mostly dirty and the sheets were wet because the house had not been ventilated. Quebec, CanadaRaccomanderesti la Proprietà ad un amico? Si

My family and I stayed at Casa Lucia last October and we loved it. The views are absolutely incredible, from the house and from the beautiful pool. On a clear day we could see the towers of San Gimignano! The house itself is very comfortable- there are many windows and lots of light, the beds are new, there is plenty of space and the house is very clean. We spent a lot of time just lounging by the pool but it was easy to go into Florence by bus, and we drove to San Gimignano and Siena with no problems.
The owners were extremely friendly and helpful, they gave us some great restaurant recommendations and were always happy to answer our questions. They make olive oil and wine right from their property, make sure to taste some. We highly recommend Casa Lucia, we dream about going back and staying again!Periodo Della Vacanza: 02 ott 2010

We had a fantastic holiday in Firenze and our stay at appartment Uva made it all the more enjoyable. It has the best of both worlds, near enough to the city centre, whilst also being set in the beautiful Tuscan countryside. We had worried that without hiring a car it would be tricky for us to see everything and get to our countryside accomodation but it was all easy accessible by a walk and a trip on bus number 14 from Via Ripa. Simone, the owner, was so helpful and provided us with everything we needed, even reserving us tickets for the Uffizi. We would also strongly recommend visiting Sienna whilst in Florence as it was absolutely mind blowing and easy to get to by bus. All in all a trip full of fantastic memories, thank you x
